Fishing/ Pesca
The abundance and variety of fish in the Sea of Cortez around La Paz is amazing!
These waters contain 875 species of fish and a large and stable number of game fish.
The biodiversity of these waters is incredible and it is truly one of the Earth’s special places. Dog Snapper, Barred Pargo, Colorado Snapper and 6 other varieties of snapper live in our waters.
These fish are a common part of your bottom fish catch.Yellowtail are abundant during the spring months when the water is cooler. Yellowfin tuna commonly are caught in football size but sometimes you can get the big ones over 200 pounds. Striped Marlin are the most common in the Sea of Cortez. Others as Dorado, sailfish, roosterfish, wahoo, sea bass and amberjack are also common to be catch.

Hunting/ Cacería
Northwetern Mexico is a wonderful destination for big desert mule deer and Coues whitetail and without question the best place to hunt desert bighorn. offers the cremnobates race of desert bighorn, with a herd so robust that many sheep have been re-introduced onto the mainland. Diving/ Buceo
The scuba diving in the Sea of Cortez and La Paz is all about sea lions, whale sharks, manta and mobula rays, dolphins, huge schools of fish, and fascinating underwater macro life. It is one of the easiest "big animal" destinations to reach and enjoy from the United States. The Baja peninsula is home to unique flora and fauna that have evolved in near isolation, so it's no surprise that the Sea of Cortez diving features magnificent marine life.
Other Sea of Cortez marine life includes huge schools of jacks and baitballs, as well as tuna, wahoo and lots of other fish, dolphins, eels, jawfish, rays.
